Frequently Asked Questions

  • What size dresses do you stock?
Our dresses in stock range from UK size 8-28, for both bridal and bridesmaid.
  • How far in advance should I order my wedding dress?
Most wedding dresses take approximately 6 months to order. We would recommend to start looking a few months before this as shopping for your dress early means that there is plenty of time for fittings. If you're working towards a date which is much closer than this don't panic as some dresses can be ordered on a rush delivery and we also sell a range of wedding gowns off the peg.
  • Do I need to bring anything with me to my appointment?
Comfortable, flesh coloured or pale underwear is advisable and a strapless bra is always good but not essential. You are welcome to bring your own shoes and accessories but we also have lots of styles available to try in store. The main thing we do ask is that you wear a minimal amount of make-up and no fake tan, to protect the dresses.
  • Can I bring children to my appointment?
We would discourage bringing children to your bridal appointment, however, we appreciate sometimes it’s unavoidable. They must be supervised at all times as they can be a distraction when you are trying on dresses. We do have a toy box and a changing table.
  • How many guests should I bring with me?
Most brides find that it is quite helpful to bring a friend or family member to their viewing and we are happy to accommodate up to 3 guests, more can be arranged, upon request.
  • Are alterations included in the price of the dress?
No, all alterations are on top of the price of the gown, and can be carried out by one of our recommended dressmakers, approx 4-6 weeks prior to your wear date.
  • How long does a wedding dress appointment usually last?
We normally allow 90 minutes, for trying on wedding dresses. If you think that you will require a longer appointment we can certainly arrange this on a weekday. As Saturdays and Sundays are very popular a longer appointment is unlikely to be possible on weekends.
  • What is your price range?
We try to accommodate for all budgets and have dresses that range from under £500 to just over £2000. The style of dress that you are looking for can influence what is available in your price range. It's a really good idea to have a budget in mind before you start shopping and to let us know when booking your appointment so that we can help you find the perfect dress. If you fall in love with a style that is slightly over budget let us know as there is sometimes the option to buy a dress off the peg or find a similar alternative.
  • Can you store my gown?
Gown storage can be arranged at a cost of £20 a month. Payable up front.
  • Do I need to book an appointment to try on wedding dresses?
Yes, it is always advisable to book an appointment to view and try on our wedding gowns. We sometimes need to close the shop for another brides fitting so if you have not booked an appointment in advance we may not be able to see you.
